The Troyka Shield is an expansion board that helps connect a number of peripherals, such as sensors, via standard 3-wire ribbon cables. This allows the freedom of completing your project without having to resort to soldering or using a separate breadboard.
The board is designed and manufactured by Amperka as a central "link" capable of easily combining Troyka modules.
Three "S-V-G" busses are located along the perimeter of the board. They are connected to the control board as follows:
These three busses are needed to interact with most modules.
From the 8th to 13th pins an alternative power bus, V2, is used. You can choose this voltage using a jumper:
V2 + 5 V - V2 will be 5 volts regardless of the operating voltage of the board V2 + Vin - V2 there will be the voltage of the Vin port
This ability to choose your voltage is useful when you put the Troyka Shield on a board with a native voltage of 3.3 V when some of your connected devices use a native 5 V.
There are separate triple contacts we used for I²C (SDA/SCL) and SPI (DI/DO/CK) interfaces for Troyka modules that need these buses.
In the center of the board is a platform with holes for prototyping the output components by soldering.
What is really interesting is that the size of the platform is such that a breadboard mini can be directly installed. It can be fixed to the board using its self-adhesive backing. Using this method, you get a convenient universal "hub" for connecting both ready-made modules with a 3-wire interface, and a conventional output for components like transistors, resistors, LEDs, etc.
The Troyka Shield can be installed on the Arduino Uno, and on boards such as the Arduino Mega. For the latter it may be more appropriate to use a Troyka Mega Tail Shield instead of the Troyka Shield, or in conjunction with it.
