This GPS / GLONASS receiver with an external antenna is perfect for creating an anti-theft system, synchronizing network equipment with accurate time signals, or creating a telemetry system.
The dual-system satellite navigation module determines its position from the signals of two orbital groups, GPS and GLONASS. The NAVIA processor calculates the latitude and longitude, altitude, local time, speed of movement, and transmits them to the controller via UART.
The external active antenna tracks up to 33 satellites and the internal memory of the module is enough for storing ephemeris for another 66. This is more than enough for all three satellite groupings. Simultaneous use of two navigation systems by the module reduces the positioning error to 1.5-3 meters (5-15 ft).
The antenna is connected to the amplifier with a 3 m (15 ft) wire. This is useful for organizing a server with exact time; all of your electronics can work in an air-conditioned room while the antenna will remain outside. A powerful magnet is hidden in the housing of the antenna unit which is useful for mounting the antenna on the roof of a car, at home, or even in your yacht.

The left group of contacts is designed to power the module and transfer the received navigation data to the controller via UART:
These three pins are all you need to get navigation information.
If you want to change the mode of the module or get access to the ability to synchronize devices using satellite signals, connect the second group of pins to the controller.
The module has UART data transmission indicators and a satellite signal receiving indicator.
Don't forget to connect the power to the contacts of the amplifier, without this the antenna will not work.
